The glory of the Lord, the shekinah (Exodus 3:21), was in a remarkable sense, indicative of the presence of the Holy Spirit. When the eternal "Word was made flesh, and dwelt (literally tabernacled) among us" (John 1:14), then "we beheld his glory...full of grace and truth." In still another parallel, each believer--whose "body is the temple of the Holy Ghost" is exhorted to "glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19,20).
