and meteorites fall to the earth's surface each year. These particles contain large amounts of nickel, cobalt, and other heavy substances. The measurable amounts of these materials on the earth's land and in its oceans reveal an earth with an age of thousands, not millions or billions of years.
7. Volcanism - If the present rate of volcanic lava production had been constant for 4 1/2 billion years, the amount of lava produced would equal the size of the earth! Furthermore, most evolutionists claim that the earth's volcanic activity is less today than in the past.
8. The earth's oceans - The average depth of sediment on the earth's ocean floors today is not even one-half mile. Approximately twenty-seven million tons of sediment are being removed from the earth's land and deposited on its ocean floors each year. If this rate had been maintained for one billion years, 18 1/2miles of sediment would have settled onto the ocean floors and each continent would have lost the top thirty-eight miles of its surface!
9. The earth's human population -The increase of the earth's human population from the time of the flood to the present day (including all wars, famines, etc.) reflects a slightly lower rate of increase than the two percent annual world population growth figures of the last centuries. The present earth's population, totalling approximately 4,000,000,000 (4 billion), agrees with a normal projection rate of growth in human population for a period of several thousand years.
If humans had been on the earth for one million years, and even if they had lived in more difficult conditions so that the annual world population growth was only 1/200 of that which we have observed in past centuries, the present-day world population would be 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000! This number of people would solidly fill 3,500 of our entire solar systems!
10. The Word of God - The Bible always speaks of an immediate creation - "God spake and it was done." It testifies of a world that is thousands, not millions or billions, of years in age.
Meteorites - Meteors which reach the earth's surface without being consumed (burned up) in the earth's atmosphere
Voicanism - Matters connected with volcanoes and volcanic acitivty
Annual - Yearly
