After returning from a three-week trip to the Rocky Mountains, Sandy anxiously examined her newly developed photographs.

She was very pleased with their clearness and color. They reminded her of the actual places and scenes she had visited.

Yet, the seemingly infinite depths and immense heights were not fully revealed in her photographs.

The pictures were perfect in type but not in degree when compared with the real scenes.

  • Immense - Great; large; enormous

  • Bearing - Carrying; holding up

  • Virtues - Admirable qualities; characteristics; attributes
