When we sin, how are we directly insulting and grieving the One who is giving us the precious gifts of life and health at that very moment?

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

- Proverbs 4:23

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?

- I Corinthians 2:11a

Imagine a Christian school teacher, Mr. Adams, receiving a donation of a thousand dollars for the school where he is employed. Instead of using this gift for its given purpose, he decides to put it to personal use and uses the thousand dollars as a down payment for a car he had long been thinking of purchasing.

After he was proven guilty of this act, what would be your reaction to Mr. Adam's deed?

God has given you a "million-dollar" gift of a healthy mind and body to use for the purpose of loving, serving, and glorifying Him. If you decide to use this priceless gift for your own purposes instead of for its given purpose, what will God's reaction be to your deeds?

What would you think of a person who frequently received gifts worth thousands of dollars from a rich person, and yet, instead of being thankful, he repeatedly slapped or hit the giver with the gifts he had received?

How can we "slap" God in His face with the priceless gifts of eyesight or hearing that He has given?
