  • Translated - changed; transformed
  • Why is Christ's Kingdom of Grace of greater value than His Kingdom of Power?

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

    - Revelation 21:1-4

O wretched man that 1 am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

    - Romans 7:24-25

Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.

    - Galatians 1:4

At the end of time, at the close of this world, Christ's Kingdom of Grace shall be translated into a perfect, heavenly, victorious kingdom. In this sinless kingdom, Christ's Church shall live and reign with Him forever, without sin or interruption. This heavenly kingdom is termed Christ's Kingdom of Glory.

The threefold kingship of Christ can be pictured as follows:

Christ serves not only as Prophet and Priest of His Church, but He also reigns as her King. Faithfully performing His work as King of His elect, He:

    1. Delivers (gathers) His people

    2. Protects (preserves) His people

    3. Rules (governs) His people

First, as King, Christ delivers His Church from Satan's rule and gathers them under His reign. Jesus has conquered and shall deliver His children from all their enemies - self, sin, world, Satan, death, grave, and hell.
