What lesson regarding Jesus' glorified, resurrected body is presented to us by His burial clothes being left in the grave?

Read Exodus 34:29-35, Matthew 17:1-2, Matthew 28:2-4, and Acts 6: 1 5. Did Christ reveal the full gloriousness of His resurrected body on earth? Why not?

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the Scriptures.

Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

- Acts 17:2-3

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

- Romans 1:4

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

- Matthew 28:5-6

"These marks are not defects," her teacher explained. "They are victory marks, testifying of Jesus' great triumph over sin and death. They are also love marks, revealing the great depth of love Christ displayed for His Church. What feelings of gratitude do you think the Church in heaven will experience when the only marks of sin's consequences to be seen are on Jesus' body?"

Jesus was raised by the will and power of the Triune God, as revealed in the chart below:

Triune Person Example Text
1. God the Father

God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that He hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee.

- Acts 13:33

2. God the Son

Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.

No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father.

- John 10: 17-18

3. God the Holy Spirit

But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.

- John 10: 17-18

In Scripture, Jesus' resurrection is testified to be true by God, angels, and man. During Christ's forty days on earth - from His resurrection to His ascension - Scripture records twelve distinct appearances to individual persons or groups of people. These are shown in the chart on the following page.
