Enoch and Elijah were also taken physically into heaven. How were their ascensions into heaven different from Christ's?

CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRIST'S ASCENSION
Christ's Ascension Was: Definition:
1. Actual

It was literally true - He ascended into heaven with body and soul. His ascension was not a dream, vision, nor only a mystical or symbolical experience

2. Visible

It took place in full view of the apostles who watched Him ascend calmly and majestically

3. Local

It was an ascension from one place on earth (Olivet's Bethany) to one place in heaven (His Father's Throne)

Christ's ascension is spoken of in two ways in Scripture - actively and passively. Actively, His ascension is referred to as taking place by His own strength - He ascended into heaven. Passively, it is spoken of as occurring by His Father's power - He was taken up into heaven. Some example texts are listed in the chart below:

SCRIPTURE TESTIFIES OF CHRIST'S ASCENSION
Actively
By Christ's Power
- He Ascended
Passively
By His Father's Power
- He Was Taken Up

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

John 3:13

Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.

John 20:17

Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.)

Ephesians 4:8-10

Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen.

Acts 1:2

And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

Acts 1:9

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Timothy 3:16

And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Luke 24:51
