Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

The Reformed churches, therefore, oppose the Roman Catholic Eucharist teaching and observance and uphold the following scriptural doctrines concerning the Lord's Supper:
Christ's real presence at the sacrament -spiritually, not physically
The elements serving as visible signs and remembrances of
Jesus' death -His crucified body and shed blood
The sealing and strengthening power of the sacrament -by
personal application of the Holy Spirit to the believer's soul
as received by God-given faith
