A definite advantage of the amillennial interpretation is that it maintains the biblical presentation of all the major events of eschatology taking place simultaneously or in rapid succession. The following chart provides scriptural references which establish these connections.



The major criticism of the amillennial position by others is "its ignoring or incapability of explaining the first part of Revelation 20." To address this concern, the following chart presents a brief amillennial exegesis of Revelation 20: 1-15. The actual scriptural text is printed on the left side, and the general amillennial explanation on the right.

  • Exegesis -Explanation and interpretation of a part of Scripture. This should be done in light of, and in harmony with, all other scriptural references to the doctrines being explained.
