God's eighth commandment requires us to care for the possessions of others as we would want others to care for our goods. It demands honesty in business - dealing with others as we want to be dealt with when buying and selling.

If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
