For you and I

For you and I

So long ago there was a Man,
who walked this earth across the sand.

Giving his love through out the land,
healing the sick with a touch of His hand.

He was a man not like you and I,
before He was born He had to die.

He prayed to His father far above,
blessing us all with His love.

People did follow to hear Him teach,
in His Father’s house He would preach.

He wore those stripes so we could heal,
His precious love is very real.

The day our Lord was crucified,
for you and I He did die.
